INDEPENCENCE DAY (15.08.2018)

Rainbow School, Jaipur celebrated the nation’s 72^nd Independence  Day and remembered with gratitude the sacrifice of the freedom fighters. The celebration began in the school premises with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Principal Madam Ms Seema Dewan which was then followed by the singing of National Anthem evoking the feeling of patriotism among the all present.

Prachi Sharma and Charul Agarwal of Class IX shared their views on the significance of the day. The junior as well as the senior school choir sang the patriotic songs that awakened everyone’s feelings towards  our Mother Land.  A small role play was presented by Parth Gupta and Sanvi Agarwal on our great freedom fighters, The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh as a tribute  to our freedom fighters.

In the end a short speech was delivered by the worthy Principal. In her speech she told the students about the supreme sacrifices of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that freedom is very necessary and we need to preserve it. She also encouraged the students to become ideal citizens. The students who won prizes in different Inter School Competitions were felicitated by the Hon’ble Principal. Vote of thanks was presented by the anchors of the day Jhanvi Sharma and Manasvi Rathore. In the end sweets were distributed to the students and the children went back home happily.
