English Debate Competition (16.05.2018)

Believing that formal speech offers a means for the students to learn and exercise analytical and oratorical skills, Rainbow School organized English Debate Competition in the school auditorium for the students of Classes IX-XII. The competition was judged by the Hon’ble Principal Madam Ms Seema Dewan .The students of Class IX presented their views for and against the motion on the topic ‘Exams Only Measure The Memory Of The Students And Not Their Learning’. The first position was bagged by Manasvi Rathore, whereas Jahanvi Sharma and Divyanshi Sharma stood second.
The topic chosen for Class X was ‘Social Media And Social Networking Sites A Boon or A Bane’. Akshat Khandal was declared first where as Naman Khandelwal and Kunal Godara secured second position.
The participants of Classes XI and XII showcased their oratory skills by putting their arguments very convincingly on the topic ‘Internet Cannot Replace Classroom Teachers’. Divyanshi Sharma (XI) stood first, Swati Chamoli (XI), Jahanvi Vardhani (XI) and Varsha Sharma (XII) bagged second position whereas Somya Kumar (XII) and Tanika Prajapati (XI) stood third.
Principal Madam Ms Seema Dewan congratulated the participants for showing courage and confidence to go on stage and share their views, emphasizing that they already are winners in a meaningful way.
